[v5.0] How can I link my bits to a prim body?

If you have a prim body avatar and want to wear the PsiCorp bits, you may run into the problem if you wanting to link your bits to your body, but youre not sure how to do it properly. This tutorial will explain an easy way to do just that.

First, what you will want is to find a sandbox, or another place you can build at, and a posing stand (which can be gotten for free in many places). Hop on it, and rez a copy of the hip part of your prim body on the ground, along with the bits.

Next, line up the body part you rezed with the one you are wearing, so they perfectly overlap.

Afterward, line up your bits with your body, make sure they have a nice fit on them. Toggle various states to see whether you like how they look when erect or flaccid, etc.

Once you are satisfied with how it lines up, get off the pose stand. You can now select your body part and the bits, and hit Ctrl + L to link them into one object. It is advised to select the body part last while doing that, this way it'll attach correctly when you put it on.

If you have issues where you want to link the vagina or tailhole to a prim body part and the body part showing inside the bits, there are a few solutions you can try, if you are a more experienced modder:

  • Obtaining the textures and giving them an opaque alpha layer. This will cause it to be cut away by the invisiprim inside the vagina/tailhole
  • Adjusting the prims or sculpts to create a bit of space inside the body
  • Using a black prim to hide the clipping and fake depth

Aside from that, there isn't much that can be done, given that invisiprims only cut away transparent textures and avatar meshes.
