I edited the settings notecard, but the changes don't stick

This typically has one of two causes:

• You closed the notecard too quickly after saving. Sometimes SL seems to discard your changes then. Check that your changes actually were saved
• You accidentally edited the notecard in your inventory, rather than the one inside your bits
